Job Description
Role Purpose:
To support the Asset Management & Treasury team in maintaining and updating the company’s investment records, producing the required reports, and handle admin aspects of the investment activity.
Record Keeping:
Accounting entries for investment portfolio transactions
- Maintain investment account file and ensure proper delivery of the relevant accounting entries to be posted.
- Maintain investment records including transactions and performance calculation
- Liaise with the financial reporting team on accounting data entry and financial reporting matters, ensuring proper reconciliation between investment records and accounting books at all times and entries are posted and reflected accurately on financial statements
- Accurately monitor and record accrued profits, and ensure proper tracking of accrued items on books with actual payments with proper monthly reconciliations
Reporting
- Prepare the monthly investment report, and any ad hoc reporting requirements as they arise
Service Provider Relationship
- Settle executed trades and coordinate with the relevant counterparties (internal and external) to ensure smooth execution
- Follow up with custodians, trading firms, banks, and other parties for all operational related interactions
- Responsible for opening accounts with banks and service providers, point of contact for daily admin tasks with third parties
- Manage investment accounts cash operations and ensure money is transferred within investment accounts and from/to operations accounts properly and in a timely fashion
- Monitor investment related expenses including subscription costs, management fees, custody fees, transaction costs, etc. on a periodic basis
- Support external auditors review process
Skills
- 2 years in general accounting or fund accounting experience with a reputable firm
- A holder of, or working towards a, CPA, CMA or CFA designation is a plus
