Sr. Officer - Investment Back Office

Role Purpose:

To manage the accounting and operational activities related to the investment portfolio and to be the main point of contact in handling communication between external parties and the front office team.

Accountabilities:

Accounting entries for investment portfolio transactions

• Record & confirm accounting entries for all investment activities in Advent System
• Reconcile all investment positions & cash accounts monthly, quarterly & annually
• Ensure investment & cash positions are reflected properly in financial statements

Funds’ transfers and transactions’ settlements

• Initiate local/ international online funds’ transfers
• Prepare instruction letters for all investment-related transactions
• follow up with internal/ external counterparties movement on cash movements, documentation & any pending issues
• Confirm and cross check trade details
• Communicate settlement and transaction details and ensure matching (subscription form and confirmation sheet)

Accrued interest monitoring & recording

• Liaise with custodian on the actual receipt of cash and update the Advent system accordingly
• Update front office team on expected cash flow receipts from maturities or accrued payments
• Send cash balances across the different investment accounts

Manage communications with all external counterparties.

•  Filling counterparties’ contracts forms and update KYC and AML updates
• Support external auditors review process

• Good knowledge of Accounting basics
• Good understanding of financial statements
•  Minimum 2 years of experience in Treasury back office
