Sr. Officer – Financial & Business Analysis

Job Description

To promote and implement new concepts, processes and systems in order to improve service, reduce cost and support business growth in line with business requirement and strategy

Business analysis


  • Identify and develop system enhancements
  • Gather business requirements from users and managers to enable the accurate documentation of the system change requirements for approval
  • Understand and assess the business change needs
  • Capture, analyze and document requirements
  • Work with business owners and delivery parties to develop optimal solutions that includes process change and or use of technology
  • Map out and review on regular basis, business processes and their outputs
  • Conduct analysis and research on business issues and feasibility studies
  • Draft business cases with department owners for approval per Bupa Arabia authority matrix

Project support

  • Support project manager during project implementation in assessing business and supplier readiness and provide logistical and planning support
  • Ensure post-implementation benefits realization are reported accurately and on timely manner
  • Ensure all Projects and Systems initiated by departments have a properly documented plan including action points, timelines and sign-off responsibilities and that the relevant staff have confirmed acceptance of the deadlines,
  • Support the preparation of comprehensive test cases/test scenarios to ensure new systems developments and fixes are adequately tested to ensure correctly implemented,
  • Develop and obtain authorization for test cases for all systems developments
  • Ensure systems changes are adequately tested and authorized prior to implementation in the live environment,
  • Ensure all system errors are promptly identified, corrected, and corrections accurately tested in advance of implementation,
  • Liaison with the departments as required to ensure all Projects and Systems are fully understood and correctly documented and implemented
  • Prepare and communicate Projects and Systems status reports, plans, next steps, action points and timelines
  • Ensure that all Projects and systems developments, including change requests, are correctly authorized by the relevant stakeholders,
  • Accurately electronically store and archive the final version of any Systems projects documentation for retrieval and review.


  • Propose the use of technology inventively to improve customer service and reduce cost
  • Implement approved ideas by the business on time and within budget
  • Ensure that Bupa is ahead of competition in terms the use of technology (service perspective)

Overall project Gantt charts and capacity planning     

  • Prepare overall project and resource (people) requirement Gantt charts, in consultation with department Directors and/or senior managers for key and cross functional projects
  • Promptly highlight to Directors and senior Managers key deadlines and requirements.


  • Experience in business operations with 3 years in similar role preferably in industries such as insurance, financial services or manufacturing)
  • Knowledge at the expert level of business analysis tools and techniques; and process mapping and data modeling
  • Knowledge at the expert level of business process re engineering concepts, methodologies and techniques
  • Knowledge at the expert level of change management practices
  • Knowledge of project management process and techniques
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical users
  • Must have excellence interpersonal and motivation skills
