Job Description
Role Purpose:
A supporting role for the monthly reserving exercise and ensure delivering external and internal reports by meeting deadlines and master the accuracy of reporting.
Accountabilities:
Business Intelligence and Analysis
- Partner with BI and IT to assist with ad hoc requests to support management information requests.
Regulatory Reporting
- Support with data submitted to Regulatory bodies and External industry partners by reviewing and analyzing the output.
- Lead the RBS reporting.
Data Management and enhancements
- Building SAS libraries and ensure accessablity and feasablity to accomdate busniess requirements.
- Analyze exisiting data ground and data cleansing project.
- Apply data mining techniques to extract, gather and consolidate data
- Map dimensions and measures across different platforms
Pricing new/updated product and product developments solutions
- Pricing new product from the analysis stage to submission and reporting stage, including supporting marketing and sales team with technical solutions.
- Create business development SLA and other business development processes
Function reporting back up.
- Back-end support for major month-end reporting, by understating the model results and show initiative for enhancement and efficiency.
- Support team in automating periodical reports and forecasting models
Support Medical underwriting team
- Provide technical and actuarial support for medical underwriting team.
- Create a specified SAS library for the medical underwriting team that suits their day to day tasks.
Skills
Technical:
- Strong MS office skills.
- Excellent SAS/SQL/Excel VBA skills
- Extensive knowledge of statistical modelling techniques such as regression, seasonality analysis and other prediction techniques.
- Strong data management and analytical reporting skills.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), problem solving, numerical and analytical skills with the ability to produce and present complex data in an understandable format for management use.
- A clear understanding of the need for sound financial control and an appreciation of the financial impacts of decision
Other Requirements
- Good progress with actuarial exam (Preferred).
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Process and results oriented
- High attention to detail.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial/Statistics/Financial mathematics
