Senior Officer – Advisory and Investigation

Job Description

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for support in protecting the interests of the company though prudent and diligent legal advice, research, action. This role requires as well drafting and editing a broad range of legal and regulatory aspects. This role is also responsible for the support when required to representing the company in a Courts of Law, in all legal matters when required. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures.

Accountabilities:

Legal Advisory, Contract & Documentation

  • Advise on commercial, corporate, Company Law, Insurance Law and labor issues.
  • Keep local management apprised of significant legal and corporate developments and trends in support of Company’s business.
  • Keep up with the changes and developments in the legal and regulatory environment within KSA, support management in advising and developing appropriate strategies.
  • Support on application and maintenance of all authorizations, permits, licenses, contracts and communication needed for local operations.
  • Support to identify the insurance needs of the business, research the legal risks faced by the business and ensure adequate insurance policies are in place and current at all times.
  • Support in providing legal insight and guidance to the Executive Management team.
  • Review, drafting and support negotiating business development and sales-related agreements, licensing, partnership and other commercial agreements.
  • Continuance reviews of all existing contracts and assesses risk associated to them and advice business accordingly.

Litigation

  • When required initiate, defend, negotiate, settle and manage all litigation, disputes and actions arising from business operations, including adverse reaction claims and regulatory challenges, draft courts memorandums.

 

Legal Research & Investigation

  • Support investigations in collaboration with the relevant department; and coordinate with other relevant stakeholders and functions in taking practical remediation measures.
  • Conduct research and analysis on a variety of legal issues.
  • Interpret laws, rulings and regulations impacting the company and advise the business as appropriate.

Skills

  • knowledge and experience with Laws & Regulations
  • Excellent English and Arabic oral and written communication skills
  • An independent self-starter, self-disciplined, taking responsibility and being accountable
  • Good business sense, with adequate communication and presentation skills
  • Confident approach, with rapport building and interpersonal skills

Education

• Law Degree by a recognized law school in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or Abroad
