Senior Manager-Strategy

Job Description

The Senior Manager – Strategy will support the Strategy leadership team in developing the corporate strategy, direction, priorities, and strategic initiatives, and apply the necessary tools to enable performance management for informed decision-making by executive management and the Board of Directors, while also assisting, and intervening when necessary, with different department managers in managing the strategy execution and progress.

 

Corporate Strategy Development

  • Conduct internal and external diagnostics to understand current state of Bupa Arabia relevant to surrounding market and market trends
  • Engage with various company stakeholders to gather key insights and inputs to be incorporated in the corporate strategy
  • Detail business cases for strategic initiatives, with key financial parameters, to simulate potential financial impact on company’s P&L, cash flow, etc.
  • Develop and execute a change management and communication plan to ensure overall company awareness, alignment and buy-in of the corporate strategy

 

Market/ Competitor Analysis and Benchmarking

  • Obtain quarterly and annual insurance market and competitor data and analyse growth, profitability, market share, and financial strength
  • Benchmark Bupa Arabia against the local market by ranking it across various metrics (financial and non-financial)
  • Develop market reports for Chief Executive Team and Board members

 

PMO, Reporting & Intervention

  • Follow up on strategy implementation progress across the different stakeholders
  • Consolidate and present progress reports to Senior Management Team on a periodic basis
  • Support different department managers in intervention action plans in case support is needed to progress on strategic initiatives

Education

 

  • BS in Engineering, Economics, or any other business discipline. Master’s degree is a plus
