Senior Manager – Marketing Communication, Public Relations and Brand Equity

The Senior Manager – Marketing Communication, Public Relations and Brand Equity will manage Bupa Arabia Brand communication and equity to improve Awareness, Affinity, Trust and Purchase Intent, through efficient and effective Marketing Campaigns, Public Relations Proactiveness/Crisis management and direct communication (promotional/educational).

The role is also responsible for Communication Operations which caters to the needs of other stakeholders across the organization. The role is also responsible for updating Bupa Global with all new Public Relations updates through weekly reports and monthly forums.

Communication Development

• Manage, Plan and implement online and offline marketing communication activities to help attain the overall brand target.
• Develop and manage the Initiative Master Plan to span across all communication media channels for our several brand communication streams.
• Proper monthly comprehensive communication review with clear recommendations and plans of actions.

Media Channel Understanding

• Category and consumer behaviour understanding
• Understanding of customer and consumer segmentation and media consumption habits
• Understanding and tracking competitor activity and spend
• Identifying and understanding emerging and novel media channels
• Building relationships with all the key stakeholders in the leading vendors and channels
• Building a network of connections to gain access to special deals and promotions on media buying and industry news

Media Plan Setting

• Reviewing the brand activity plans for the year and identifying brand team communication objectives
• Reviewing agency plans, evaluating channel selection and delivery on campaign objectives, assessing campaign efficiency and effectiveness, reverting to agencies with feedback
• Monitor media performance and ensure budget efficiency across different touch points.

Social Media Presence

• Building, managing and updating the brand on all social media networks
• Sustaining customer engagement and rich content on all social platforms
• Increasing followers and improving positive engagement.

Corporate affairs

• Develop a PR calendar for the year that supports the corporate affairs agenda.
• Lead editorial calendar of the year, sponsorship requests and media activities.
• Leveraging media spend to support PR plans
• Integrating the media plans with the social media activities
• Develop and lead the thought leadership agenda of the year.

Direct Communication

• Lead the development of all Bupa Arabia direct communications (Emails and SMS) by creating effective communication that follow brand TOV.

Managing the media and communication budget

• Supporting the brand teams in setting the annual marketing plans and media spend
• Approve, assign, monitor and manage spending
• Ensure delivery and quality of services

Education

• University Degree, in Communications or Marketing

Years of Experience

• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in media management and Marketing Communication and Public Relations

Skills Required (Technical/Managerial)

• A solid knowledge of the media scene and agencies
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Hands on experience in media plans assessment
• Experience and media connections in the ME region
• Ideally FMCG and Service experience
• Proficient in both Arabic and English language (written & spoken)
• Excellent computer skills with capabilities in web search, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
