Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant to join our medical team. As an Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services physically and through telemedicine to women, focusing on reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and the management of gynecological conditions. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a wide range of obstetric and gynecological conditions, promoting women's health education and preventive measures, and coordinating care with specialists and other healthcare professionals. Additionally, you will be responsible for practicing evidence-based medicine, delivering patient-centered care, and optimizing health outcomes. Additionally, you will be responsible for practicing population health management and value-based care, focusing on improving patient outcomes through efficient and effective healthcare delivery, with an emphasis on delivering patient-centered care and optimizing health outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive physical and digital obstetric and gynecological healthcare services to women, including prenatal care, childbirth, postnatal care, family planning, and management of gynecological conditions.
- Conduct thorough medical assessments, including detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests specific to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients, integrating evidence-based medicine, patient preferences, and individualized reproductive health goals.
- Manage and follow up on obstetric and gynecological conditions, such as prenatal care, high-risk pregnancies, infertility, menstrual disorders, menopause, gynecological cancers, and preventative women health exams and screenings.
- Perform routine and specialized gynecological procedures, including Pap smears, colposcopies, endometrial biopsies, and minimally invasive surgeries.
- Provide counseling and education on reproductive health, contraception, sexually transmitted infections, and other women's health issues.
- Collaborate with specialists, such as perinatologists, reproductive endocrinologists, urogynecologists, and oncologists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology, including new treatment modalities, guidelines, and surgical techniques.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) and other technology platforms to maintain accurate and detailed medical records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research activities, and clinical audits to enhance patient care and outcomes in obstetrics and gynecology.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
Skills
- Residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from an accredited program.
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant.
- Proven experience as an Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant or similar role, preferably in a hospital or clinic setting.
- Proficiency in performing routine and specialized obstetric and gynecological procedures.
- Strong clinical judgment and analytical skills specific to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities, particularly in the context of labor and delivery.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest advancements in obstetrics and gynecology.
