Job Description
To configure, monitor and manage virtual environment and all the systems that are powered by VMware products and services which includes but not limited to data center virtualization and virtual desktop infrastructure and follow technical control procedures to maintain quality standard and ensure availability, security, and stability of the virtual environment.
- Design and deploy composable infrastructure and manage physical computer workloads
- Develop and deploying customized VMware solutions for company practices.
- Analyze overall system health and take corrective actions when errors are identified.
- Manage and operate hyper converged infrastructure (HCI)
- Review new projects and run capacity planning for any new service.
- Identify business needs and evaluate existing network infrastructure and systems.
- Understand developments in VMware technologies and products to apply critical patches, service packs and bug fixes to maintain environment updates.
- Automate time consuming tasks and enhance current infrastructure
- Configure auto alerts for any issues to enable time to act proactively
- Document and update all project end to end details
- Create a consolidated file for infra components for a complete repository
Skills
- Good understanding on Virtualization Components like horizon view, vRealize Operations Manager (vROPs), vRealize log insight(vRLI)
- Good knowledge on HPE blade servers and Synergy, Cisco UCS Systems
- Good understanding on Virtualization Disaster Recovery (DR) Solutions like VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and vSphere Replication
- Windows infrastructure technologies and Microsoft server operating systems
- Networking, DNS, DHCP
- Understand Enterprise Operations Process
- Ability to identify technical risks and areas of improvements
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- VCP - VMware Certified Professional -DCV
- VCP - VMware Certified Professional -DTM
