Manager – Accounting

Job Description

Role Purpose:

To maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting principles & regulations to support the financial reporting process.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1- General Ledger Management;

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the general ledger to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to finalize financials
  • Reconcile and analyze the general ledger accounts to confirm data accuracy.

 

2- Cost Accounting;

  • Implement cost accounting principles to support accurate product and service costing.
  • Check proper cost allocations on cost and profit centers
  • Collaborate with departments to analyze and control their relevant costs.

 

3- Tax Compliance;

  • Prepare and file tax returns, including WHT, VAT, Zakat, income tax, ensuring compliance with deadlines.
  • Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors to facilitate tax audits and resolve tax-related gaps.
  • Maintain tax records and documentation to support tax filings and audits.
  • Stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulations in relation to company operations.

 

4- Audit Support and Compliance;

  • Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation for external, internal, and regulatory audits.
  • Coordinate with auditors to address inquiries and provide requested information.
  • Review audit findings and recommendations to ensure compliance with audit requirements and suggest corrective actions.
  • Support in developing department policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
