Job Description

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, including clinical interviews, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluations, to accurately identify mental health disorders, emotional difficulties, and lifestyle behaviors.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' assessment results, incorporating evidence-based therapeutic approaches and interventions.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to patients, utilizing various therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate psychological interventions with medical and holistic treatment plans, especially for chronic disease patients.
  • Monitor patients' progress in therapy, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Offer psychoeducation to patients and their families, providing information on mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and clinical supervision to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest research and advancements in clinical psychology, incorporating evidence-based practices into patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support to patients experiencing acute psychological distress or psychiatric emergencies.
  • Collaborate with community resources and referral networks to ensure comprehensive care and continuity of services for patients.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Registered Clinical Psychologist at Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Proven experience as a Clinical Psychologist, preferably in a healthcare or clinical setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of psychological assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Familiarity with various treatment modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
  • Proficiency in using psychological assessment tools and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport, build therapeutic relationships, and collaborate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to conceptualize cases, formulate treatment plans, and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Empathy, sensitivity, and cultural competence in working with diverse patient populations.
  • Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development
