Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner (GP) with expertise in medications refills to join our healthcare team. As a GP specializing in medications refills, your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless and accurate prescription refills for patients and accurate patients counseling regarding their medications. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide efficient and patient-centered medication refill services.

- Refill medications for patients promptly and accurately, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

- Review patient profiles and medical records to ensure accurate prescription refills and identify any potential drug interactions or contraindications.

- Evaluate the appropriateness of medication refills based on the patient's condition, treatment plan, and medication guidelines.

- Provide appropriate counseling to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.

- Collaborate with primary care physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to address any patient concerns or questions related to medication refills.

- Monitor patients for any adverse drug reactions or changes in medication efficacy and make appropriate adjustments to prescription refills as needed.

- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of medications, drug interactions, and pharmaceutical guidelines.

- Document medication refill activities accurately and thoroughly in electronic medical records (EMR) systems or other relevant healthcare software.

- Prioritize and manage refill requests efficiently to meet target goals and minimize patient wait time.

- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to coordinate medication refill services and ensure continuity of care.

- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless coordination of medication refill services.

- Identify and report any medication errors or adverse drug reactions to the appropriate authorities.

- Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills related to medication refill processes and patient counseling.

 

- Adhere to all relevant ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements pertaining to medication refills.

Skills

- Medical degree from an accredited medical school.

- Valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) classification and registration.

- Proven experience and expertise in medications refills and management.

- Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, drug interactions, and medication counseling.

- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other relevant healthcare technologies.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet refill targets.

- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to medication refills.

- Commitment to patient safety and quality of care.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
