Senior Executive Manager - Business Enablement & Strategic Transaction

To review and assure the commercial legal advice and strategic transaction support provided to Bupa Arabia and its subsidiaries, so legal solutions are commercially sound and within the company's risk appetite.

Key Accountabilities:

1 - Section Workload & Service Delivery:

·       Oversee the section's workload, priorities and resources.

·       Monitor service delivery against agreed standards.

·       Guide direct reports on priorities and day-to-day legal work.

·       Recommend functional plans and resource changes for approval.

2 - Commercial Contracting & Advisory:

·       Review commercial agreements, procurement contracts and routine business matters.

·       Validate drafting and negotiated positions before execution.

·       Assess contract risks and advise stakeholders on practical options.

·       Escalate terms outside agreed authority for approval.

3 - Strategic Transactions & Corporate Development:

·       Oversee legal support for investments, acquisitions, financing and joint ventures.

·       Evaluate strategic partnership and subsidiary transactions for legal risk.

·       Scrutinise transaction documents and legal due diligence reports.

·       Recommend transactions and closing documentation for approval.

4 - Legal Risk Management & Decision Support:

·       Identify legal and contractual risks in material engagements.

·       Evaluate risk exposure and recommend mitigation strategies.

·       Escalate material legal risks with recommendations for decision.

5 - Legal Quality Assurance & Technical Expertise:

·       Review complex legal work products for quality and consistency.

·       Verify that legal advice and documentation follow agreed standards.

·       Recommend legal standards, positions, precedents and templates for approval.

·       Validate guidance notes before release.

6 - Team Management & Capability Development:

·       Coach, mentor and develop direct reports.

·       Appraise performance and recommend development plans.

·       Encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

·       Recommend succession plans for critical roles.

8 - 10 years of Experience

Technical Skills:

·       Ability to structure, review, and advise on strategic transactions, investments, financing arrangements, and partnership frameworks.

·       Strong legal risk assessment, issue spotting, and solution development capabilities.

·       Ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical and commercially viable business advice.

·       Excellent legal research, legal writing, and stakeholder communication skills.
